The Woman Behind the Brush Is the Brand

By Jasmine Hawkins
Tatiana Fritzgerald is not the kind of woman who will tell you she always had it figured out. She is too honest for that. What she will say is that from a very young age she noticed a certain thing about people; namely that the way they saw themselves differed from the way God saw them. And at some point she came to the realization that not only was she good at closing that gap, but that it was actually what she had been put here to do.
Therefore, she structured her life around it.
At present she is the founder of Lux Glam Studios, a co-owner of Beauty Assassins, and a co-founder of VIP Prom. She works as a professional makeup artist, serves as a creative director, and is a mother who is bringing up her family while at the same time establishing platforms that are subtly transforming the way people experience beauty, confidence, and community. Yet although the titles are impressive they only cover part of the story; the real story is to be found in the chair.

She states that her mission is to enable people via beauty, creativity, and faith, and that she believes beauty is spiritual, emotional, and closely related to the way we present ourselves in the world.
All those who have sat on the other side of her will say that she really does mean it.
When Tatiana is working, people come in with all the things their days have given them; the stress, the self-doubt, and the quiet voice in the back of their minds which has been telling them that they are not quite enough. And at some point between the moment she takes up a brush and the moment she steps back and says that she's finished, a change takes place. They sit up straighter, see themselves in a new way, and when they leave they don't just look like the best version of themselves but actually feel like they do.
You can't learn that in a beauty school; it's a gift, and Tatiana has been gently providing it to all those who put their faces in her hands, and by extension to the way they wish to present themselves in the world.
Beauty Assassins, the high-end mobile concierge that Tatiana co-owns with her business partner, was set up in order to extend that advantage. It provides clients with a complete high-end beauty experience no matter where they are, attending to both women and men in the same way of intention and care. The service works since Tatiana grasps a key point that many people in her field completely overlook: the service is not the product, it's the feeling. Nothing in the world, no matter how large the marketing budget, can create the experience that she offers just by being fully present with the person in front of her.
Lux Glam Studios applies the same principle to the visual aspect of things. Functioning as a creative centre for branding, photography, videography, and model development, it is aimed at the individual who is ready to tell their own story and who needs assistance in doing so with integrity and artistry. Tatiana understands that the way you present yourself is not merely about vanity; it is a form of testimony, and that testimony should be conveyed well. Each shoot, each session, and every brand image produced by Lux Glam contains that sense of conviction at its very core. She is not simply producing content; she is helping people to see themselves the way they were always meant to be seen.
Though you want to understand essentially who Tatiana is, the place to look is VIP Prom.
VIP Prom, which is now in its second year and has been a success, came about from the simple belief that no senior who was academically qualified should have to miss one of the most important nights of their young lives simply because life had made it difficult for them to get there. Tatiana and her co-founder therefore made it possible by offering fully curated experiences, looking after every detail, and treating each student in the way they deserve to be treated, because they do matter.

This year, as a result of a partnership with the Salvation Army Youth Center in Atlanta, three students entered the prom exactly as every young person ought to enter a room; with their heads high, knowing that they were worth every bit of the celebration surrounding them.
She never needed a spotlight in order to achieve that. Once she had recognised a need and had a talent, she combined the two. She did it in a quiet and consistent manner, just as she does with all the things that are important to her. This is the version of Tatiana that her brands aim to convey but never fully manage to capture; it's the one who turns up for people whether or not anyone is watching.
She states that at the core of her story lies a dedication to setting up safe and affirming environments in which people can be seen, heard, and respected. She believes that her work combines beauty, purpose, and resilience in order to support both men and women as they move towards becoming the most authentic versions of themselves.
The thing that links all the things she has created is not strategy or aesthetic or indeed talent, even though all three of these are found in everything she does. What unites them is faith: a firm and well-established conviction that she was put here on purpose, entrusted with a particular gift, and that the work she carries out every day is connected to something far greater than any one client or any one project.
She acts in the way that is appropriate. She doesn't do it in a frantic or showy manner, but rather with a quiet confidence which arises from knowing what is required of her and treating it seriously. Whether in the makeup chair, in the boardroom, or at the prom, she has always brought her entire self; not because she was forced to, but because she can't conceive of doing it any other way.
She is also getting involved in a new phase, the one which she has been gently preparing for over a long period of time.

Beauty Unfiltered is on the way. It's a safe platform that affirms God and is all about genuine conversations and true personal transformation. It is gender-neutral, age-neutral, and has been created for those who are tired of performing and are ready to be honest about who they are and who they are still becoming. It's a place where you don't have to be put together to belong; you only need to be willing to be there.
She is giving it her full attention since only when you know precisely what something needs to support will you treat it with care. She is not speeding it up; she knows what it should be like and won't give in to the urge to move quickly in order to get it launched. In an industry in which everybody is striving to make the launch, that sort of patience is a form of power.
"She says that this season is about boldly becoming the woman and leader to whom God has called her."

From the position in which she now stands, it is obvious that she has already arrived.
Tatiana Fritzgerald isn't building in order to gain applause; she is doing it because she has been called to do so, and has remained faithful to that call at every level, whether there were three people present or three thousand. All the clients who left her chair feeling restored, all the students who had a prom night they will never forget, and every individual who in the end ends up at Beauty Unfiltered and finally feels as though they have found a safe place to land are part of the same task. And she has never once regarded it as anything less than sacred.
She began by using a brush and by believing that beauty could do more than just make people look attractive; it could remind them of who they really were.
Based on that single belief, she created all of this.
And that's only the beginning.

INTERVIEW WITH SCOTT PRYOR
Q: You have built three brands, each one serving a completely different need in the community, but they all carry the same heartbeat. Where did that come from, and did you always know that beauty was going to be your ministry?
A: The heartbeat behind all three of my brands came from a place much deeper than business — it came from God showing me that beauty was never just about makeup, hair, or aesthetics. It was about restoration. Growing up, I learned early what it felt like to be overlooked, misunderstood, and forced to become strong before I ever felt safe. So when God placed a brush in my hand, He wasn’t giving me a career; He was giving me a calling.
I didn’t always know beauty would become my ministry, but I did know I had a responsibility to pour into people the way God poured into me. Every brand I’ve built — Lux Glam Studios, Beauty Assassins, and VIP Prom — carries the same heartbeat because they were all born from the same place: wanting people to see themselves the way God sees them. My work is simply the vehicle. The ministry is reminding people of their worth, their identity, and their God‑given beauty, inside and out.
Q: VIP Prom is in its second year and you partnered with the Salvation Army Youth Center of Atlanta to send three students to prom this year. Take us inside that moment when you saw those students walk in. What did that feel like for you?
A: When those students walked in, it felt like time stopped for a moment. I saw three young people who had been carrying the weight of life on their shoulders, suddenly standing a little taller because someone believed they deserved to be celebrated. Partnering with the Salvation Army Youth Center of Atlanta wasn’t just an event for me — it was a reminder of why God trusted me with this work in the first place.
Watching them step into that room, dressed, supported, and seen, felt like watching purpose unfold right in front of me. It was joy, gratitude, and a quiet ache all at once — joy because they were shining, gratitude because God allowed me to play a part in their story, and an ache because I know how many more students need moments like that. VIP Prom is bigger than prom; it’s about restoring dignity, building confidence, and showing our youth that they are worthy of experiences that remind them of who they are and who they can become.
Q: Beauty Unfiltered is coming and you have been intentionally quiet about it until now. What is it, who is it for, and why did you know the world needed a space like this?
A: Beauty Unfiltered is a space for every person who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or forced to carry their story alone. It’s gender‑neutral because healing, truth, and identity belong to all of us — men and women alike. Too often, people suffer in silence, masking hurt and pain behind filtered images, curated identities, and the pressure to appear “okay.” Beauty Unfiltered is the green room — the place where you finally get to be the real you, without the world’s expectations attached.
As a makeup artist, I’ve had the privilege of meeting the person behind society’s idea of them — behind their job, their title, their character, and the version of them the world thinks it knows. In our industry, we often become the unpaid therapists, the story keepers, the quiet best friends of the people we service. We hear the truth behind the glam. We see the exhaustion behind the excellence. We witness the sacrifices behind the success. That reality fueled Beauty Unfiltered.
I created this platform because people are judged, hated, or misunderstood by individuals who don’t even know them — people who have no idea what it took for them to become the version of themselves the world sees. Beauty Unfiltered gives men and women a place to lay all of that down. It’s a space where they can confront their truth, reclaim their identity, and be seen without performance.
The world needed Beauty Unfiltered because too many people are carrying pain behind polished appearances. This movement gives them permission to be real, to be vulnerable, and to be transformed. It’s not just a program — it’s a mirror, a ministry, and a safe space for anyone ready to become who God always saw.
Q: You talk about helping people see themselves the way God sees them. But we want to know about you. When is the last time Tatiana Fritzgerald looked in the mirror and truly saw herself the way God sees her, and what did that feel like?
A: The last time I looked in the mirror and truly saw myself the way God sees me wasn’t a single moment — it was a season. A long, quiet, painful season where I had endured things that could have killed me, broken me, or silenced me forever. But through the darkness, my purpose became clearer than it had ever been. Every trial, every setback, every failure, every scar, every moment of confusion — all of it was building ground for the real me to emerge.
It wasn’t an overnight revelation. It was a whisper that kept getting louder. It was learning to quiet the noise around me so I could finally hear God’s voice — and eventually find my own. For so many years, I didn’t have a voice. I didn’t even know what my voice sounded like. But in my darkest moments, I found myself. Everything suddenly made sense. Through endurance, a warrior was formed.
Today, I know I am a healing storm — I fight with love, faith, and purpose. I stand for those who haven’t found their legs yet. I run for those who have grown tired. I speak for those still searching for their voice. And I pray that my light helps someone else find their way out of the darkness and into their greatness.
So when I look in the mirror now, I see myself with a profound understanding of why I’m here. My mission continues to grow, but my purpose is clear. I see the woman God built in the shadows — and I honor her every single day.
Q: You started with a brush, a belief, and a calling you could not ignore — and from that you built Lux Glam Studios, Beauty Assassins, VIP Prom, and now Beauty Unfiltered is on the horizon. As you stand here in this season, fully stepping into the woman and leader God called you to be, what do you want every person who reads your story and sits in your chair to walk away knowing about who Tatiana Fritzgerald really is?
A: II started with a brush, a belief, and a calling I couldn’t ignore — but everything I’ve built came from endurance, faith, and a purpose that refused to die, even in seasons that tried to destroy me. Lux Glam Studios, Beauty Assassins, VIP Prom, and now Beauty Unfiltered were all born from the same place: a woman who survived what was meant to silence her and turned her scars into assignments.
As I stand in this season, fully stepping into the woman and leader God called me to be, I want every person who reads my story or sits in my chair to walk away knowing one thing: your becoming is not defined by perfection — it’s defined by endurance. I am who I am because I kept going when I had every reason to quit. I found my voice in the very moments life tried to take it. I became a warrior in the dark before anyone ever saw my light.
Everything I do is rooted in love, and in that love, I serve others.
I am a Queen, but not by the world’s twisted standards. The world teaches that a Queen is someone who demands to be served, catered to, or placed above others — but my philosophy is the opposite. A true Queen is the one willing to make the hard decisions that protect and uplift the people connected to her. She is not cruel or selfish; she is sweet, kind, thoughtful, and intentional. She is grace and mercy wrapped in love. Her strength is radiant and soft, and her presence is gentle but unmistakably loud. She leads with compassion, not ego. She stands with her people, not above them. That is the kind of Queen I strive to be.
When people encounter me, I want them to feel seen, valued, and strengthened. I want them to see their value, their worth, and to know that they matter — even when it feels like they don’t. They are worth it. I want them to know that their story matters, their pain has purpose, and their voice deserves space. And if my journey can be a light in someone’s darkness — even for one moment — then every battle I fought was worth it. My mission is to help people see themselves the way God does.
